Description

Sensitive Base Gel - Hypoallergenic & HEMA-free is a proven hypoallergenic brush-on base gel, certified by an accredited international laboratory test! *

HEMA-free product!

Problematic nails? Get over here! There is no challenge for our Sensitive Base Gel! This brand new base gel functions like a GLUE between the natural nail and any of our sculpting gels (Classic Line, Evolution Line, Luxury Line).

Usage:

Gently file the natural nail with buffer and use Nail Prep and then Primer (and/or Acid Free Primer) to prepare the natural nail chemically. Apply a very thin layer of Sensitive Base Gel and “massage” the gel deep into the fibers of the natural nail with the brush. Always clean the brush on the mouth of the bottle properly and work with as little amount of gel as possible. Do not remove the tacky residue after curing.

Extra tip:

The Sensitive Base Gel is not soak off but if the client does not insist on soak off removal of gel-polish we recommend to use this “glue gel” before gel-polish application. Use in case of specifically problematic nails as a base before the Base/Gloss. After applying and curing Sensitive Base Gel the gel-polish application process and the usage of Base/Gloss and the colors are the same as normally. Of course here the usage of Nail Prep and Primer (and/or Acid Free Primer) before applying the Sensitive Base Gel is also essential to prepare the natural nails chemically.

*The hypoallergenic test involves testing the product for 48-72 hours on a minimum of 40 people who have previously shown allergic symptoms. The test volunteers are all people suffering from atopic dermatitis, other contact dermatitis (contact dermatitis, contact eczema) or hypersensitivity to other cosmetics, household and cleaning products, skin irritation only!

During the test, 0 (zero!) cases of irritation, sensitisation or allergic reactions were recorded, and as a result the product has been awarded the official hypoallergenic classification, which means that it can be used legally and correctly.

You can see the test results here!

Want to delve deeper into the world of HEMA-free and hypoallergenic products?

Then the video below is for you, where Laci Gyimesi, CEO of Mystic Nails, personally tells you what you absolutely need to know:

It is important to note that hypoallergenic testing and certification does not guarantee that no one will have an allergic reaction to a product, as the chances of this happening vary from person to person, but it does provide credible evidence that these products have been developed to minimise the chances of an allergic reaction.

Hypoallergenic Product Line FAQ
  • Question: I have allergies and couldn't find the color I was looking for among the hypoallergenic gel polishes. Should I dare to choose from the traditional ones?
  • Answer: In case of sensitivity, it is advisable to choose Hypoallergenic products for all materials, as unfortunately, allergies can occur with non-sensitive products. However, with our hypoallergenic gel polishes, this risk is minimal.

  • Question: What kind of preparation liquid can I use if I want to work only with hypoallergenic products on the client?
  • Answer: Typically, feedback about allergic reactions comes from specific materials (gel polish, base, etc.). For these products, we requested an investigation and the hypoallergenic test to be performed. We have not received such feedback for the preparation liquids, but this has not been investigated either.

  • Question: What makes it hypoallergenic? What ingredient is not included?
  • Answer: The allergen risk is minimized in the composition of the ingredients, which is also confirmed by the official hypoallergenic test result. (You can find the test result on the hypoallergenic products page.)

  • Question: What should I do if my client experiences an allergic reaction after using the product? Answer: It is highly recommended to have an allergy test performed and, if necessary, consult a dermatologist. You can check the known allergenic ingredients on the labels of all our products.

  • Question: How compatible are these products with other non-hypoallergenic materials or products?

  • Answer: The products in our webshop are compatible with each other when used appropriately. However, in case of sensitivity, it is advisable to choose hypoallergenic products for all materials, as unfortunately, allergies can occur with non-sensitive products.

  • Question: Can I use the Sensitive product line only as a whole (base, gel polish, fixer, top coat)?

  • Answer: In case of sensitivity, it is advisable to choose hypoallergenic products for all materials, as unfortunately, allergies can occur with non-sensitive products.

  • Question: When should I choose a hypoallergenic material?
  • Answer: Hypoallergenic products are recommended for nail technicians who want to pay special attention to minimizing the chances of potential allergic reactions and symptoms for both their clients and themselves.

  • Question: Where can I find the exact composition of your hypoallergenic materials on the webshop? Answer: We list all ingredients on the labels of our products, as this is also required. If the product contains allergens, it must be indicated on the label that it may cause an allergic reaction.

  • Question: Is a gel polish only considered hypoallergenic if it's listed in the webshop category, or is the same shade purchased earlier also hypoallergenic?
  • Answer: We only consider those products hypoallergenic that are currently in that category and have the necessary certification. However, we also indicate on the labels if the product may cause an allergic reaction.

  • Question: Is the curing time different for hypoallergenic materials? Is there anything I need to pay attention to?
  • Answer: There is no significant difference in the process between hypoallergenic and previously used products, and the curing time does not change for the same product types (e.g., gel polish-hypoallergenic gel polish).
